Reporting to the Technical Director, you’ll be:

> Managing the installation and commissioning of automated equipment 
> Attending meetings with the customer & suppliers as the Company’s Technical representative
> Understand the application requirements and undertake the best technical approach
> Preparing risk assessment/ planning documentation
> Playing a hands on role in overseeing the installation 
> Managing small installation team that consist of subcontractors
> On site liaising with customer to find solutions to installation issues
> Ensuring that the installation team work within tightly defined safety and operating procedures and that deadlines are met and installations executed efficiently and completed on time
> Working closely with the development team
> Supporting the installations after project completion 
> Adopting and contributing to the Company’s ISO9001 quality procedures

This position would suit a person who meets the following criteria:

> Experience of automated equipment
> Exposure to machine vision systems
> Experience of installing and/ or commissioning automated equipment in a manufacturing environment
> Experience of managing customers’ expectations 
> Experience of managing subcontractors commitments and installation schedules
> Excellent communication skills
> Must be flexible and resourceful to successfully fit within the team 
> Is able to travel (some UK travel, occasional EU/ RoW trips)
> Enjoys frequent contact with customers
> Ability to operate at a commercial as well as technical level
> Understand that some weekend work will be required

Advantageous (but not a deal-breaker):

> Electrical bias
> PLC Programming experience/ ability
> Experience in/ knowledge of Food/ Beverage sectors
