Studio Assistant
Stoke on Trent, ST4 2RS
£16k - £18k D.O.E
Our client has identified an excellent opportunity for a junior or Trainee Designer to join this growing company as Studio Assistant. This role offers opportunity for growth depending on the skills the right candidate can bring to the role.
You must be able to generate artwork/visuals in a variety of programs working to tight deadlines with the need for it to be correct first time. You will set up designs in a variety of different formats of media and file types.
As Studio Assistant you will report to the Design Manager assisting the design team with the setup of all new products.
Your roles and responsibilities will include:
• Undertaking all aspects of setting up designs onto products, all of which are personalised in-house.
• Generating artwork/visuals in a variety of programmes working to tight deadlines with the need for it to be correct first time.
• Outputting designs to a variety of different formats of media and file types.
• Proficient with amending design ideas using Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
• Visualising finalised ideas as product mock ups using Photoshop.
What do you need?
The successful candidate will have the relevant skills and experience to thrive within this role including;
Skills:
• Educated to minimum A-Level standard (or equivalent) but Graduate level is preferred
• A thorough and proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite Packages is essential
• You must be able to demonstrate a portfolio of proven skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Working experience in a previous design role would be preferable
• Excellent analytical, organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
• Competent Microsoft Office user, particularly in the use of Excel
Qualities:
• The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills with a good command of the English Language.
• You must be enthusiastic and possess a thorough work ethic, being a team player whilst also being able to work independently.
• You will need to be able to learn the features and functionality of appropriate business systems and have a keen eye for detail and accuracy in a busy and demanding environment.
• To succeed in this role you will also have a creative flair and understand current and seasonal trends in the industry.
