An opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller/Sales Ledger to join a health and wellbeing charity for deaf people. Based in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire the successful Credit Controller/Sales Ledger will join the charity’s finance team to earn a salary of £22,000-£25,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The charity is dedicated to making sure deaf people get the same sort of access as hearing people to healthcare and health information. As a Credit controller/Sales ledger you will support the finance team. Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Effectively Liaising with the company’s debtors and dealing with queries
  • Raising all sales invoices (regular and ad-hoc)
  • Credit controlling (chasing outstanding debts, answering queries relating sales invoices, effectively communicating with customers, providing regular ageing debtors reports and updates to Financial Controller).
  • Inputting banking transactions onto QuickBooks on daily basis for of the company’s principal accounts
  • Monitoring all income, follow up with any overdue balances as appropriate and to maintain appropriate records
  • Prepare requested and ad-hoc month end reports
  • Dealing with internal and external invoice queries
The successful Credit Controller/Sales ledger will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role. In addition, you should possess the following key skills and experience:
  • Experience working on credit control issues with NHS and Council will be an advantage
  • QuickBooks experience will be an advantage
  • Sound understanding of double entry bookkeeping
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Diplomatic telephone manners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel intermediate)
  • Attention to detail
  • Good team player
