IT Network / Support Engineer
Hook, RG27
£35k + healthcare + pension scheme

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Network / Support Engineer to support a wide array of technologies as part of a small but global team.

Flexibility is required in this role for occasional out of hours work and there will be periodic travel to support our clients’ site south of Manchester.

The IT Network / Support Engineer role is vital to a small infrastructure and desktop team and will predominantly provide support to the network and server infrastructure as well as acting as back up Desktop Engineer when required.

Knowledge & Qualifications required:
You will have significant experience within a similar role and knowledge of the following systems:
• Networking – Cisco switches with knowledge of VLAN’s, QOS and WiFi\LAN\WAN\VPN
• Virtualisation\VMWare
• Dell Storage Area Network
• Citrix XenApp
• Windows Server Administration (2003/2008/2012)
• Active Directory including Group Policy administration
• Microsoft Exchange\Blackberry Enterprise Server
• BackUp and Restore technologies, in particular Symantec Backup Exec
• Checkpoint Firewalls
• Understanding of ITIL Framework including Change Control
Vulnerability scanning and patch management
• Some experience of ERP solutions and a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential

The successful candidate will ideally be a flexible, adaptable and tenacious Engineer who has great problem solving skills with the ability to work as part of a team or on their own.
