SALARY & BENEFITS: £7.40-£8.15 per hour
WORKING HOURS: Days, Evenings and Nights available
THE COMPANY: Our client is newly established and growing service provider, founded by a management team who possess a wealth of experience within the support field. Our client offers a combination of services from residential to short break care, focusing on children and young people from 8 years' of age with complex needs. Children come to the home to learn skills, socialisation and to achieve a better lifestyle. Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking Support Workers to join their team in Durham.
THE ROLE: Our client is seeking Support Workers to join their team in Durham. Within the role, you will be supporting a child with whichever tasks they require. Roles and responsibilities will change on a daily basis commensurate with the role, however some responsibilities may include taking the child swimming, to the cinema, bowling or other social activities. You may be dropping the child to school or picking them up and partaking in group activities with the children, overall helping them to improve their self-confidence and socialisation skills.
Key Responsibilities to include:
- Accompanying the child to social events or activities
- Dropping off and picking up the child to/from school
- Assisting the children to improve their self-confidence and socialisation skills
THE CANDIDATE: To be considered for the Support Worker position, you must have excellent social skills and have a passion for working with children and making a difference in their lives. No previous experience within Support is required for this position as support can be given to obtain any care qualifications you require, however you must have a drive and motivation to improve the lives of the children you're supporting.
