They have a relaxing bar and exclusive private dining rooms and you will be joining their front of house team located in the heart of Westminster, London.The CompanyThis 3 AA Rosette awarded venue offers a comprehensive and unique culinary experience in a relaxed and personal gastronomic setting, using modern European cooking techniques and sourcing seasonal produce of the highest quality to create the very best British/French a la carte menus, all day bar menus and specials.Our client is a high profile restaurateur with extensive experience in operating fine hospitality and restaurant services. They have established an excellent reputation for delivering only the very best through the high quality of food, exceptional people and excellent service.What your duties are as Sommelier / Wine Waiter???• Keep the cellar tidy• Top up fridges for both lunch and dinner service• Update the wine list • Update prices on the wine list and till• Mis en place before service ( Ice bucket, champagne bowl )• Party mis en place ( Glasses, station, wines )• Greeting guest when they arrive• Advise guests on wine pairing• Serve and top up wine• Collecting dirty glasses from the table• Ordering wines• Update order sheets• Wine stock take and updating the stock take sheet ( Price - Vintage )• Glasses stock take + ordering glasses• Organising wine tasting ( Mis en place ready ) What we need from you???To be successful in the role of Sommelier you must have passion for food and wine and be used to operating to impeccable standards. You must also have recent experience in a similar role as a Sommelier / Wine Waiter. The restaurant is open 5 days (Mon - Fri) a week for lunch and dinner and this role will complete 8 / 10 shifts over 5 days. What our client can offer you...A salary of GBP21,500 plus benefits is offered depending on experience and role.
