Are you a passionate customer service professional with an understanding of security procedures? Do you have what it takes to help protect creatures, great and small?

If you have a way with animals and want to increase your expertise in the world of animal welfare, this is an incredible opportunity to take on a highly rewarding role.

Working on a beautiful 52 acre site, you will have the chance to help deliver a service that is integral to our client’s success in supporting and protecting animals.

As a Protection & Welfare Services Officer, you will help to ensure the safety of our client’s site, staff, visitors and animals.

Specifically, you’ll make sure that the site is secure at all times by checking locks and undertaking regular patrols, both outside and inside the premises. Taking ownership of the CCTV network, you’ll swiftly respond to any intruder and fire alarm activations.

The other key aspect of your role will involve delivering a high quality service to both people and animals alike. You’ll assist staff and visitors with any issues they may have, as well as helping to care for animals that arrive at our client’s shelter outside of opening hours.

As part of your role, you may be required to respond to alarm activations outside of standard working hours.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

- Customer service experience
- Working knowledge of security practices and procedures, including manned guarding and CCTV use
- A full driving licence

As a Protection & Welfare Services Officer, you must be alert and diligent with excellent communication skills. You must also have a strong customer focus and the ability to effectively prioritise your workload.

Ideally, you will have knowledge and/or training in the following, but this is by no means essential: H&S, first aid and canine or general animal handling.

Please note, the working hours for this role are 42 hours per week, working 12 hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off pattern, covering both days and nights.
