S P A Enterprise Services Limited, based at Stockley Park, Uxbridge, requires Hadoop Developer with hands-on experience on Java7 and 8, JDK7/8 API’s, Hadoop, JSP, HTML5, CSS, Struts, Springs, Hibernate, XML and web technologies such as RESTful API's. Applicants must be experienced and demonstrate a proven work track record to enable the following key responsibilities of the role:

In- depth knowledge of the Java, J2EE and full Hadoop ecosystem

Experience with Mapreduce programming

Experience working with and processing large data sets both structured and unstructured
-
Exposure to Continuous Build and Deployment Solutions such as Jenkins/Puppet

Exposure to SVN/GIT/Jira and Jira Stash

Working knowledge of Hive QL
-
Experience with Pig Scripting and noSQL databases like Hbase

Experience with Cloudera and Hortonworks would be a plus
-
Any commercial (or personal) experience with Hadoop, Big Data or NOSQL databases is desirable

Good experience with Shell Scripting and Java

Knowledge any one of the application servers like Tomcat, JBoss, Oracle9iAS or Websphere is must

Certification on Hadoop and Java will be added advantage
Qualifications, Experience and Mandatory Skills Required:

Minimum of 7 years+ commercial Java Development experience

Educated to Bachelor Degree level

Experience of working with a variety of end users including offshore resource and other system integrators to ultimately ensure that HADOOP is deployed effectively in a scalable environment

Excellent Communication and written skills in English

Team Work, Team Building & Leadership Qualities

Flexibility and experience in prioritizing tasks and ability to deal with variable workload
