Central Employment are working with a leading digital agency based in London who work with high-end ecommerce and retail clients, due to impressive growth they are now looking to take on an additional Senior Software Engineer developing in Python. The ideal candidate will have experience in an agency setting and be fully proficient in Python across the full stack. This is a fantastic opportunity reporting directly into the CTO.
Key Responsibilities
Implement new functionality, update content dependant upon client requirements to websites or applications
Lead on technical design and analysis
Ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet the needs of the client
Ensure pages/functionality developer are unit tested before system testing
Liaise with key stakeholders across the business
Report team metrics and progression assessments
Essential Requirements
Extensive OOP in Python, with a good understanding of other static/class based languages
Excellent proficiency in a Full Stack Python environment with good Linux command line knowledge
Excellent MVC framework experience e.g. Spring, Spring Boot, etc.
3+ years OOP Python 2.6+
2+ years MySQL + MySQL 5.5 or other SQL-based database engines and design
HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery
in-depth usuage of version control using Git
REST API experience
Desirable Requirements
Ideally you will have a good understanding of Amazon Web Services, e.g. ELB, RDS, CloudFront, etc.
An understanding of automation scripting tools such as Jenkins
Previous experience of performing extensive code reviews
