Job Title: Planning Officer

Location: Stroud

Salary: £24,717 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Maternity Cover up to 12 Months

Stroud District is an extraordinary place, stretching from the ports of the Severn Estuary to high-technology industry in Stroud itself, and the centuries-old legacy of farming in the Cotswolds. The Planning team is at the front line when it comes to supporting the continuing improvement of and investment in the district whilst protecting its unique architectural and cultural heritage.

To help the council continue to maintain their high level of service, they are looking to recruit a maternity cover Planning Officer position, for up to 12 months. They're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented practitioner with experience developing and delivering effective planning advice. Experience of Conservation is desirable but not essential. In addition, you will need:

  • A degree in a planning-related subject
  • Membership of the RTPI or IHBC, or be otherwise eligible for or working towards membership
  • Strong IT skills
