Technical Sales Executive - Gas / Utilities / Process Industries - Nationwide

c£35K basic + car, uncapped commission

Location is flexible, so they want to hear from you if you are based close to any of the major cities / motorway links.

This company designs, manufactures and distributes an innovative range of monitoring and measuring equipment and associated products for the gas, utilities and other process industries.

Based in the North West they have invested substantially in product development over the last two years and now wish to strengthen their sales resource with the appointment of a talented Technical Salesperson with a track record of winning new business.

Working either from their offices or from home (depending on your location), you will be part of a small team with responsibility for growing sales into a diverse customer base throughout the UK. This will involve:

- building on their existing installed base
- developing a strong sales / quote pipeline
- ensuring that any application / technical support is provided to customers as part of the sales process (we have the technical expertise in-house to support you with this)
- focusing on generating new business whilst also developing additional sales to existing customers through strong account / relationship management.

Comprehensive product training will be provided as required.

You should have the following experience / attributes

- A proven record of selling low-medium value capital equipment, e.g. monitoring equipment, instrumentation, process measurement and control and associated software
- Knowledge of the gas and related process industries, e.g. food, beverage, chemicals,
- Good understanding of the sales process and sales cycle for hardware / software products
- Good understanding of / aptitude for technical applications and how to demonstrate key features and benefits
- Focused on winning new business but also able to demonstrate good account management skills
- Strong focus on value selling - this is not a role for those used to selling on price!
- Self-starter with sufficient motivation and self-discipline to work from home if required
- Organised, determined, plans and manages time effectively - used to managing a large geographical area
- Keen to prove yourself and be rewarded accordingly
