Hydraulics System Engineer

JOB PURPOSEHydraulic Systems Engineer, working within the engineering team on a varied range of projects. Project scope ranges from dual clutch or automatic transmissions control systems to large complex off highway hydraulic systems. Work scope will include:Design of components and systemsDetailed analysis of designs System simulationTesting and evaluationWorking closely with mechanical design and controls engineersInteraction with customers and suppliersSome overseas travel is necessary PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL EXPERIENCEIn depth knowledge of the fundamentals of fluid powerCapable of designing and understanding complex hydraulic systemsUnderstand the principles of hydraulic component design and be able to apply thisKnowledge of proportional and/or servo hydraulic systems & componentsKnowledge of the supply base for automotive, mobile and industrial hydraulic componentsUnderstand the operating system and hydraulic system requirements for both on and off highway vehiclesTesting of hydraulic components in both the field and laboratory with the ability to understand and interpret the resultsAppreciation of electronic control systems and control principles which interface with the hydraulic systemsQUALIFICATION REQUIRED/PREFERRED Degree qualified in an engineering discipline with an emphasis on hydraulic systemsClear understanding of hydraulic control system dynamicsExperience of hydraulic simulation package such as EASY5 or AMESim would be an advantage
