JOB TITLE: Community Carers

SALARY & BENEFITS: £7.20 per hour + Sleep in allowance £26 per shift

WORKING HOURS: Full and part time hours available

THE COMPANY: We are currently working with a care company who recognise the need for community based services for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Since starting in 1994 the company has been growing and growing in over 145 locations in the UK. They now offer supported living, residential and day services 24/7.

THE ROLE: As a Community Carer you will be working within the team to provide individual high quality person-centred care to service users, supporting each to reach their optimum potential (hopes and dreams).

Key Responsibilities of a Community Carer to include:-

• Provide individual, personalised support to the service user

• Updates service user care plans and risk assessments

• Identify goal orientated activities and care for each service user, actively working to support the achievement

• Complete all relevant paperwork

• Provide key worker support and regular reviews for the service users

• Works in partnership with colleagues, appropriate family, friends and other significant to the individual

• Ensure all service users are safe guarded

• Sleep-in the service users property over night

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will need to be a hard working caring individual who wants to help. It is highly advantageous you have a NVQ Level 2 in care, however if you do not the employer will help you through the qualification. Ideally you will be willing to offer sleep-ins at the service user’s properties; however this can be looked at on an individual basis.

Key experience essential for the Community Carer role:

• Live within a commutable distance to Neston

• Has a Full UK Driving licence and your own vehicle essential
