The company client is a nationally recognised financial services company, with headquarters based in London, who are actively seeking to appoint a highly credible and articulate Head of Financial Control to undertake the following duties, during a period of transformational change. This is an excellent opportunity for career development.

Overview:

* This professional will be instrumental in financial control strategy through change & business efficiency initiatives, and the appointee will ultimately play a key part of the finance team reporting directly into the CFO.
* The role will have the main focus on governance, financial control, support process and quality assurance of clients financial outputs.

Major duties will cover as follows:

* Responsibility over Financial Governance and Control, Financial Management, Annual Reports and Accounts, Quality Assurance, Finance Support Process and Team Leadership.
* Production of governance and control policy.
* Compliance with regulations
* Monthly financials
* Board reports
* Ownership over controls and processes in relation to the financial control framework and financial support processes.
* Effective relationship management with internal and external key stakeholders.
* Deputy CFO when required.
* Leadership Strategy
* Development of talent strategy

Background, skills and expertise required:

* Qualified Accountant with significant PQE.
* Prior Senior Financial Leadership.
* Experience influencing interior customers.
* Influence of senior internal and external stakeholders.
* Risk based quick decision making skills.
* Ability to produce and implement control and governance policies.
* Technical expertise in management accounting and financial controls framework.
* Excellent skills translating complex financial data into simple terms.
* Ownership of continuous improvement and updates following financial regulation and compliance.
* Identification and management of financial risk.
* Focus on strategy and leadership to improve financial controls and processes.
