Position: Sous Chef
Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

Our client is a hidden gem of a golf club, nestled in the most picturesque of Staffordshire countryside. They have developed a fantastic and unusual reputation as a thriving vibrant venue for relaxed drinking and fine dining for members and non-golfers alike.

They are now looking to recruit highly motivated and creative minded chefs to their expanding successful kitchen team.

The Sous Chef Role:
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will proactively assist in ensuring the overall quality and effectiveness of the day to day running of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head chef in the planning, organising and control of the day-to-day operation of the kitchen ensuring the established standards of performance are maintained
• To assist the Head Chef in ensuring HACCP is in place
• Ensure good communication throughout the kitchen department at all times
• To run the kitchen for the Head Chef in their absence

Experience & Skills Required:

• Experience of working in a similar role/environment
• Able to motivate and delegate effectively
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with an eye for detail and the ability to use own initiative
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• The Sous Chef must be comfortable and enthusiastic about using fresh and local produce
• Be creative and imaginative whilst creating specials and new menu dishes on a regularly changing menu
• Must Hold a Full UK Driving Licence
