Health & Safety Trainer
Bristol (office/field based, with travel throughout the South West)
£18,000 - £24,000 DOE & Qualifications

A well established and fast-growing health and safety consultancy are looking for a Health and Safety Trainer on a full or part time basis.

If you’re a qualified H&S professional with a proven track record of delivering quality training programmes, this is a brilliant opportunity to develop your career with a well-established business.

Within a forward-thinking and rewarding environment, you will have the chance to build on your existing expertise whilst helping to deliver an important service.

As a Health & Safety Trainer, you’ll be responsible for delivering a variety of H&S courses and programmes at sites throughout the South West.

Specifically, you’ll deliver both accredited and non-accredited health and safety training courses to a broad and varied audience.

You’ll help to design new courses and revise existing ones, including lesson plans, course programmes, presentations and other materials.

Above all, you will ensure the health and safety of yourself and others whilst at work, following company policies and procedures at all times.

To be considered, you must have:

- A proven track record of delivering quality training programmes, ideally within the health and social care sector
- At a minimum, a NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent H&S qualification
- An adult teaching qualification
- A current First Aid at Work certificate or recognised exemption
- A moving and handling trainer qualification
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Personable and articulate, as a Health & Safety Trainer, you must have great interpersonal and relationship-building skills. A positive, proactive approach and excellent time-management abilities are also key.

Ideally, you’ll be a registered nurse with at least two years’ post registration experience, but this is not essential. The ability to deliver fire, general safety and health/social care specific courses would also be advantageous.

A Qualsafe Awards registration would be beneficial, as would experience of delivering first aid programmes including paediatric first aid and first aid at work, and manual handling courses including updates, foundation training and bespoke programmes.

Please note, this role is available on either a full or part time basis. Candidates will be required to work two Saturdays a month and undertake up to two overnight stays.
