Store Assistants

This family owned convenience store is based in the village of Yardley Gobion, Towcester (Near Stony Stratford, Castlethorpe, Hanslope, Cosgrove, Milton Keynes, Potterspury, Deanshanger). We are looking to build our team with the addition of several new and enthusiastic Store Assistants. The store is soon to be relaunched, this is an exciting time to become part of the new and fresh look. Store Assistants / Candidates must be:
- Self-motivated, responsible, hardworking, trustworthy, confident, well presented, punctual, helpful and outgoing
- Able to work in a team
- Criminal record free - a CRB check will take place
- Quick learners as well as efficient and accurate
- Good numeracy and literacy skills necessary
- Flexible in order to take on overtime when necessary
- Enjoy working in a fast paced/target driven environment
- Proactive, organised and adaptable with the commitment to roll up their sleeves
- Experience in retail or cash handling would be preferred, but not essential as training is provided

Store Assistants / Role includes:
- Greeting customers
- Provide excellent customer service as required, taking pride in satisfying or exceeding their customer's expectation and experience
- Use of Epos tills, lottery and paypoint terminals
- Ensure all areas are kept clean, tidy and adhere to safety practices
- Ensure all product ranges are maintained and replenished including ordering and unloading deliveries
- Maintain their high standard in relation to quality and availability of produce
- Complete all required statutory training

The recruitment process will include a small trial on the shop floor and till to ensure you agree with the role and role agrees with you!
