Randstad Education are currently looking for experienced, caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a wonderful Special Educational Needs School based in Cornwall. As an SEN Teaching Assistant your role will involve working within various mixed classes, supporting the Teacher within the classroom and will be responsible for supporting young people of all ages who have severe or profound learning difficulties.

The School I am currently recruiting for serves a wide catchment area in Cornwall and caters for 83 pupils at Primary and Secondary level, aged between 2 - 19 years old. The young people within this vibrant school have Special Educational Needs such as severe and profound learning difficulties and there are 9 classes in total which all include 1 Teacher and at least 1-2 members of support staff.

This School is extremely well maintained with a continuous programme of improvement and has excellent facilities on site such as, a hydrotherapy pool, sensory room, therapy room, a gym, food tech room, a science lab and a sixth form base. Their main focus is on individual, academic and personal achievement, embracing the ethos of being a caring, nurturing environment and are committed to helping young people achieve excellent outcomes.

The successful candidate will have experience in working with young people who have SEN, must be flexible and are passionate about the support and education for young people of all abilities.
