The role of Quality Assurance Technician is to support the Site QA Manager/ QA Supervisor and the site in general in ensuring the effectiveness of factory QA systems in line with the needs of the business, to continually meet, improve and exceed customer expectations.

The role includes some of the following tasks: 

• Evaluating production
• Hygiene audits
• Discussing results with production and arranging necessary corrective actions
• Ensuring the Management System is updated within a timely manner, in line with manufacturing.
• Liaising with colleagues from all areas of the factory to ensure efficient resolution of QA issues
• looking for areas where the QA systems can be improved and made more efficient.

 Skills and Attributes: 

• HND or equivalent qualification.
• Over 6 month’s relevant QA experience.
• Experience of a food-manufacturing environment. 
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing desirable.
• Understanding of HACCP desirable.
