This company is a successful SME as an established specialist in the supply of RF & Microwave Solutions. Due to continued growth they are recruiting enthusiastic and driven engineers into an exciting and expanding part of the business where innovation is opening up new applications of their technology.

- Generate and support Sales enquiries, liaising with their Principal Suppliers to deliver the optimum solution for their customers.
- Maintain a strong relationship with allocated Accounts - understand their needs and translate these into Sales.
- Utilise various Marketing approaches to engage with customers and generate Sales leads, including face to face meetings, focused emails and calls, and support other digital forms of marketing such as newsletters.
- Maintain a good knowledge of the RF & Microwave market, keeping up to date with Industry News of Programmes and Products. Translate this into value added Sales service to customers.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of their Principal's product range and capabilities.
- Maintain a Sales log for monitoring and control of leads and forecast Sales intake.
- Support customers during after-sales phase

Education & Skills:
- HNC level essential, Engineering Degree advantageous
- Industry/Sales experience and demonstrable performance
- A strong understanding of the application of RF & Microwave technology and to anticipate their customers needs
- Affiliation with relevant professional body advantageous
- Good knowledge of IT (i.e. MS applications) essential
- Planning skills - Ability to plan an efficient and effective schedule autonomously
- Sales Skills - evidence of Sales training courses advantageous

- Background of relevant technical work within an Engineering environment.
- Knowledge of UK industry specifically RF and Microwave technologies for some or all of: Defence, Space, Aerospace, Commercial Comms, Satellite Communications, Test & Measurement and Industrial, Scientific & Medical.
- Established relationships with UK customers - advantageous to demonstrate a list of contacts/experience in an industry highlighted as a growth market
- Demonstrable Sales performance in maintaining and growing existing/inherited accounts and generating new business is advantageous.

- Team worker, enthusiastic and ambitious, a self-starter and able to work autonomously and with the associated responsibility for delivering sales targets
- Ability to analyse the market conditions and put forward recommendations for continuous improvement with the aim of business development
- Must be able to illustrate a disciplined approach to work including good Planning skills, creating visit reports, when applicable, and executing agreed actions as planned.
- Personable and able to form relationships with colleagues, customers and our Principal

- UK Driving Licence essential
- Location judged against experience
