Planning Officer

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Planning Officer for our Engineering client based in London. We have job opportunities for permanent and contractual employment with our client. Salaries up to circa £35,000 depending on experience. Ideally you will be degree qualified with a minimum of 2 or 3 years relevant experience. You will require to have a Driving License and access a car for work.

Role and Responsibilities:-

As a Planning Officer your responsibilities will include the following:-

• Completion of planning application reports in accordance with the company's agreed Key Performance Indicators. This includes Residential Extensions, Lawful Development Certificate etc

• Negotiating with agents relating to planning applications, planning queries

• Providing face to face planning advice on a range of applications as a Duty Planning Officer

• Liaising with both external and internal parties, negotiating with applicants and agents and communicating effectively with other members of the team

• Updating applications, compiling reports

The ideal candidate for the Planning Officer role will have:-

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent within a planning discipline

• Good Time Management skills

• Self-Motivation and ability to deliver a quality service

• Excellent Communication skills for liaising with both external and internal parties, negotiating with applicants and agents and communicating effectively with other members of the team

• Completed a RTPI Certified Planning Course, ability to develop the skills to analyze plans and assess their acceptability against Local, Regional and National Planning Policy

• Competency on IT system and databases to update applications, compile reports

• Report Writing skills
