Due to continuous and fast growth, our client has identified an exciting opportunity for a Production Assistant to join their growing art framing and print business based in Malton, North Yorkshire.
Being proud members of the Fine Art Trade Guild and with all framers employed by the business, required to take the Guild Commended Framer Examination, they ensure through using the most premium of materials, that every made to order print or frame that leaves the workshop is of the highest possible standard.
Position Summary
As Production Assistant, your role will be varied; however will predominately be the manufacturing of picture frames and art / photo products.
In addition to this, your daily responsibilities will include;
• Preparing of artwork, sheet materials, mount cuttings and picture frame assembly whilst ensuring to consistently work to the standards of a Fine Art Trade Guild Commended Framer, unless otherwise instructed
• Consistently producing good quality, robust and aesthetically pleasing products, free from obvious defects, damage or dust
• Monitoring stock levels, assisting with stock orders / deliveries and keeping all stock organised as required
• Adhering to the companies Health & Safety policy, conducting the maintenance of machinery and any technical issues that may arise
• Working passionately and cooperatively as part of a team
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will hold the required skills and experience to thrive within this role and hit the ground running;
• Ambitious, eager to learn and results driven individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Good basic maths skills & excellent attention to details
• Experience is not essential, however practical experience is desirable, candidates may be invited in to spend a day in the workshop to experience the role first hand, prior to job offer
• Flexibility with working hours is essential at busy and seasonal periods, generous overtime will be paid
• A genuine interest in development combined with a positive attitude is essential
• Due to the nature of this role, candidates should be physically fit and able
