The Position:

They now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join their deviations team who will have the opportunity to work in an award winning and highly customer centric business in the heart of York's city centre.

Reporting to the Team Manager, some of the activities that the Deviations Assistant will be responsible for include:

- Planning and scheduling of deviations to a customer's holiday and providing reliable, timely and accurate information to the business.
- Ensuring a quick and accurate turnaround of customer deviation requests so that sales opportunities are maximised.
- Communicating correct information on deviations to the sales and operations teams.
- Working with suppliers to ensure the requirements of the Company are met in the most cost effective manner.
- Loading product data on to the in-house database and ensure accuracy & completeness of the data entered.
- Undertaking general administrative duties to support the administrative process of holiday enquiries/bookings/confirmations and delivery of tickets/reservations.
- Assisting all teams in the business with questions and queries in relation to deviations.
- Communicating any ground supplier amendments or problems to the operations and sales teams where relevant.
- Supporting the weekend call centre operation on a rota basis, including at peak times of trading.

The successful Deviations Assistant should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience of working in a customer service environment and delivering to deadlines and targets.
- Experience of working in a busy telephone environment.
- Strong interest in travel with good geographical knowledge.
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions and possess a clear and concise approach in verbal and written communication.
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written English and numeracy skills.
- Good general education and knowledge of Microsoft software packages.
- Possess a methodical and organised approach to work, both individually and as part of a team.
