An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Society’s IT Department in the position of IT Business Analyst.

 

The IT Business Analyst Team is crucial to the successful delivery of CBS corporate projects, change programmes and IT specific projects.  As one of our IT Business Analysts you will play a pivotal role as a key member of a project team working collaboratively with Business Change, Business Stakeholders, Solutions Architects, Developers and Project Managers, so that you can produce detailed functional specifications that blend existing and new systems to ensure that a working solution can be developed to meet the business requirements.

 

Core activities will include but not be limited to:

 

Defining and documenting solutions and changes by producing comprehensive functional specifications backed up by structured techniques and methodologies.

Working with the other members of the Design and Development teams to ensure that when a solution is delivered it meets the agreed business requirements whilst not compromising CBS’s architectural strategy.

Validating solutions with key stakeholders ensuring that the requirements delivery is understood and that the delivery of functionality is agreed by all parties.

 

To be a successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Business Analyst ideally within a financial services environment and be degree educated or hold a relevant professional qualification.

 

The successful candidate must be able to perform all areas of advance business analysis, from early discussion in shaping and scoping the project, right through the project lifecycle.  It is desirable that you have gained experience working with different project approaches and methodologies and can be adaptable as the circumstances require.  You will be able to quickly develop an excellent understanding of business processes and have experience working with ambiguity in a fast paced, often challenging environment. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must as you will need to build and develop relationships with your immediate team and the wider business in order to gain buy in on new ideas put forward.
