Full-Time Cover Supervisor - Shrewsbury
Are you passionate about supporting students and ensuring they have a positive learning experience? We are looking for a Full-Time Cover Supervisor to join a school team in Shrewsbury.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain engaged and focused on their work. You'll supervise pre-planned lessons, helping to maintain a calm and productive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising students during lessons in the absence of their regular teacher
Ensuring students stay on task and complete set activities
Supporting students' learning and addressing any questions they may have
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Reporting any issues or concerns to relevant teaching staff
Assisting with general administrative tasks as required
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with young people (desirable)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a focused atmosphere
A proactive and flexible approach to work
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students' learning
