Desktop Support Technician

Desktop Support Technician, with good experience of supporting user deskside and experience with Intune/SCCM, is required for a public sector organisation for an initial 6 month contract (with the potential to move to a permanent role). This position will be based in Portsmouth, Hampshire paying from GBP150 - GBP200/day.

This position is working inside of IR35.

Working within the IT support department of a leading public sector organisation, the desktop support technician will be responsible for providing 1st/2nd line desktop support to users based on issues arising with laptops, desktops, hardware, printers, etc. You'll also get involved in some basic networking and server connectivity. You'll also get involved with ad hoc projects. Technology will include SCCM, Intune and Active Director (along with the wider M365/Office 365) for device installs and device management aspects.

Required Skills:

- Strong IT support background, with good experience of desktop support

- Good experience of supporting with laptops, desktops and hardware support

- Ideally good experience with supporting SCCM and Intune

- Strong experience of Active Directory, Office 365/Microsoft 365

- Excellent communication & stakeholder management experience

This position would suit a Desktop Support Technician/Desktop Technician/Desktop Support Engineer/Desktop Support Analyst/Desktop Engineer/IT Technician/IT Support Analyst/IT Support Engineer/IT Support Analyst/Service Desk Analyst/Helpdesk Analyst/Helpdesk Engineer/Service Desk Engineer, who has strong experience of IT support & desktop support, ideally with SCCM and Intune.
