About The Contractor:

Reddbrick are recruiting for a regional contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects. Currently, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team and manage projects throughout the region, with experience of commercial builds, Education and Healthcare.

Quantity Surveyor Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of the project team, responsible for managing the commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

• Conducting cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans
• Conducting the subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms.
• Monitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures
• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management
• Collaborating with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions
• Managing the preparation and submittal of monthly reports on project financial performance
• Conducting cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements
• The role will involve general Quantity Surveyor duties but will not be limited to these duties alone.

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• A strong understanding of forms of construction contracts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Experience of commercial builds and taking responsibility for projects up to the value of 5m
