Electronic Design Engineer
Colchester
Salary up to 55,000 per annum
Our client, a leading provider of advanced inspection and testing solutions, are seeking a highly motivated and talented Electronic Design Engineer to join their team in Colchester.
As the Electronic Design Engineer, will be responsible for supporting the electronic/electrical design and testing of new X-Ray and Bond Test products as well as the maintenance of existing products.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and layout of electrical support systems for X-Ray and Bond Test machinery.
- Design and documentation of electrical panels, PCBs, and general machine wiring.
- Basic mechanical design for electro-mechanical elements of machines.
- Practical electrical and electronic prototyping.
- Specification, documentation and management of electrical bills of materials.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Substantial experience (5+ year) of designing Electronic/Electrical Systems in an industrial setting.
- Experience of designing electromechanical systems (e.g., Robotics, production automation etc.).
- Extensive experience of designing electrical panels for industrial systems (Circuit breakers, contactors, etc.)
- CAD experience (preferably AutoCAD, Inventor, Cadstar)
