Our client, a manufacturing business with in-house machine shop, seek to appoint a Senior Quality Engineer who has held a quality engineer post with a wide remit. This is a role with varied responsibilities covering most aspects of quality engineering. You will need a good eye for detail for paperwork and audits, be able to maintain robust ISO9001 accredited quality systems, and work with end users (a wide customer base) suppliers (lots, and all different) and internal staff to ensure quality is at the forefront of the company's focus. The appointed Senior Quality Engineer will also drive improvements throughout the rest of the company through identifying and then eliminating procedural defects within current processes. - Plan and monitor quality activities for a manufacturing site and machine shop
- Support the Quality Manager to complete assigned projects throughout their lifecycle and maintain / re-inforce improvements until they become standard practice
- Liaise with Team Leaders to ensure projects are completing on time and to the appropriate quality standards
- Check initial customer requirements are thoroughly understood, that suppliers are of an adequate standard to deliver, and manufacturing processes are delivering
- Carry out audits in line with department objectives
- Maintenance of an ISO9001 quality management system

- Experience within a fast paced, high quality manufacturing company with in-house machine shop
- Excellent knowledge of ISO9001
- A wide remit covering multiple aspects of quality engineering: Audits, Supplier Quality, Customer Liaison, Manufacturing Processes, etc
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
