The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Diesel / Hydraulic Service Technician to join the team in Kintore.

As a Diesel / Hydraulic Service Technician, you will be responsible for the Service / Repair and testing of Truck Mounted and Offshore Containerised Winches, Diesel Driven Power Packs, Compressors, Telescopic and Folding Wireline Masts.

Duties

• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
• Service and Repair of pneumatic / hydraulic systems as per designs/procedures.
• Monitor and control materials, products or equipment to detect defects or faults.
• Create and complete reports on all equipment.
• Fault finding and diagnoses of faulty equipment
• Local visits to client premises to carry out calibrations and repairs
• Maintain a safe, organised, clean and tidy work area following 5S and LEAN Principles.
• Support initiatives such as new techniques and products, purchases of new machinery.

Background:

• Time served apprenticeship (HGV/ Plant Mechanics)
• NC in a relevant subject
• Have a background in a mechanical based profession
• Working knowledge within a Service and Repair environment
