One of RHL's long established Oil & Gas sector clients is now actively seeking applications for an experienced E,C&I Engineer.
Location: Torpoint. Cornwall - Hybrid
Salary: up to 60-65,000 + Excellent Pension + Generous Annual Leave
This opportunity would suit an individual with an Oil & Gas background, with experience of COMAH and CDM regs, who is interested working client side, working in the major projects team.
The role
You will act as a Technical Lead for our client's Projects team in respect to E&CI Engineering activities.
You will ensuring that all aspects of work are executed on time and to budget/estimates and in full compliance with company standards and UK / European legislation.
You will be responsible for a number of EC&I Engineering tasks within the Major Projects Team and/or engineering works associated with the Major Projects team.
Work with the project management systems, procedures and workflows.
Act as technical lead providing guidance within the team on EC&I matters for Major Projects. Referring to the EC&I Technical Authority when needed.
Develop EC&I scopes of work.
Develop budgets and forecasts for work.
Identify and select suppliers in line with relevant legislation and Agency procedures.
Produce detailed programme of works/Gantt charts etc.
Experienced required
Degree Qualified ideally at Chartered engineer status or working towards that level, with project management experience preferably within a COMAH regulated industry/operation.
You will possess excellent knowledge underpinned with experience in process control programming languages such as PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) or DCS (Distributed Control Systems).
Your experience will be deemed competent to work on high voltage (HV) electrical systems following safe working practices. This should include experience of operating and maintenance of both 11KV distribution systems and 3.3KV motors and their associated starters. As well as a proven track record of resolving issues over a wide range of time frames utilising short-term problem-solving activities through to longer term strategic development.
As some travel will be required from time to time a full (preferably clean) driving licence is essential for this role.
