Construction Planner

Our client, a Principle Contractor and Developer with a strong reputation for for delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors, including residential, industrial, commercial, and retail, are seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join their team.

As the Construction Planner, you will be responsible for managing the planning and coordination of construction projects, ensuring accurate tender submissions, and developing project programmes, logistics plans, and method statements.

Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents and address any queries with the Client's advisers
  • Coordinate contract documentation issues with the Commercial Director and Legal Representative
  • Attend bid launch meetings and agree on tender deliverable with the Bid Team
  • Develop method statements, logistics plans, programmes, and preliminary documents for projects
  • Provide tender support by obtaining quotes for preliminary needs from the supply chain
  • Organise mid-tender meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to align on critical path operations
  • Build strong client relationships to install confidence in the company
  • Lead internal preliminaries meetings and present to senior management
  • Participate in risk meetings, addressing pricing and programme risks
  • Contribute to tender clarifications, attend pre-settlement meetings, and external tender interviews
  • Utilise ASTA programming software for all planning tasks
  • Collaborate with the Estimating Team to deliver a high-quality bid

Construction Planner

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pre-construction and tender planning
  • Proficiency in ASTA programming software is essential
  • Strong understanding of pre-construction processes, tender planning, and bid coordination
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ensure compliance with the latest Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, as well as the QSE Management System
