Mechanical Technician Derbyshire

Circa 25,500 depending on experience.

Fully stocked service van and fuel card Mechanical Engineering Technician required to join a stable and reputable company in Melbourne.

You will play a key role in the company, being fully supported to maintain the high standards of production. You will undertake the build, service, maintenance and repair of dustless blasting equipment, compressors and air breathing units.

The ideal candidate will be Mechanically focussed and will have come from a Mechanical Assembly / Mechanical Build position and be willing to upskill to become a service engineer. With full training and development provided, this is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to really make this role their own. Although this role is largely based out of the Melbourne headquarters, you will also be charged with attending customer sites for servicing and breakdowns, hence a fully stocked van is supplied.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience of the Mechanical Technician

  • NVQ or equivalent in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in the build or servicing of engines or similar
  • Some driving including towing of trailers will be required
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
  • Flexibility to assist members of the team with specialist projects
  • Prepared to adapt and support other engineering teams within the company

Pay & Benefits for the Mechanical Technician

  • Salary: Circa 25,500 depending on experience
  • Permanent, full time position
  • 42.5 hour week plus over time as required
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Fully stocked service van and fuel card

  • Up to 20 days of annual holiday allowance (increase of 1 day per year served up to 27 days) plus 8 bank holidays
