Salary: 32,100

Hours: 4 on 4 off 2 days 2 nights (Average of 40 hours per week)

Randstad Engineering are currently looking for factory/forklift operatives for an impressive client of ours. They are an Energy from Waste business that specialises in converting non-recyclable waste into renewable energy. This is a fantastic opportunity to not only develop your own career, but also contribute positively to the environmental initiatives in the UK!

Reporting in to the shift manager, as a level 2 operative, working inside the materials processing facility, your job will cover the following tasks:

  • Operating plant and process machinery.
  • Loading bales into plant machinery
  • Loading finished goods onto vehicles.
  • Working inside the Material Recycling Facility (MRF) and loading finished goods into bags and booking
  • Moving and emptying bins from the MRF
  • Using computer systems to dispatch loads
  • Carrying out cleaning, basic maintenance tasks and basic fault finding

You will have opportunities to develop and multi-skill your skills in order to progress into a level 3 position which comes with fantastic financial rewards.

To be successful in this position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing, production or process facility.
  • A willingness to assist where necessary- machinery operation, industrial cleaning, loading/unloading
  • A willingness to develop your career and contribute to a reputable business.
  • Previous FLT (Forklift) experience, beneficial.
