Area Sales Manager – Scotland/Northern England

BBS structural glazing is a well-established company providing glazed atria, roof windows, rooflights, glazed canopies and walkways. We are part of a larger group providing full design, manufacturing, and installation services throughout the UK.

We are looking for an area sales manager to cover the whole of Scotland and Northern England.

Reporting to the sales director, as an area sales manager, you are primarily responsible for the growth of sales within your region through effective account management and new business growth. You will be responsible for the ongoing management of regional and national accounts within your area and targeted on the growth of these, along with introducing new customers to our company.

Who we are looking for:

You need to be highly self-motivated with a desire to be successful and possess a winner’s mentality along with the right attitude for this role. This remote role requires someone with good organisational skills and the ability to multitask. Your drive will come from a desire to achieve results and play your part in a wider team. You will need a proven track record in
regional sales along with strong references.

  • Proven work experience as an External Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager, or relevant role (minimum 3 years).
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including, procurement director and business owner levels.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Centrally based in Scotland.
