About The Role

Full Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a leader with exceptional clinical/management skills to carry full clinical and operational responsibility within one of the PICU units at Baldock Manor Hospital. You must be capable of empowering our team to deliver outstanding care and have sound understanding of current legal, and administrative procedures, concerning the care of mentally ill patients e.g. MHA & CPA.

What to expect

At Nouvita, we take a person-centred approach to care, meaning that each of our service users has their care specifically tailored, not only to their condition, but to their individual needs. This ethos carries over to our care-team as well; everyone has a specific skillset they bring to their role, and it will be your job to nurture those skills and encourage their development.

While this role encompasses many responsibilities, your key duties include:

24-hour responsibility for your units.
Provide effective leadership by setting clear objectives and defining roles for staff.
Display excellent management skills through effective use of manpower and skill-mix from available resources.
Participation in the planning and commissioning of new services.
Monitoring and evaluating care while initiating any actions that might be required.
Liaise with other disciplines/multi-disciplinary teams.

At Baldock Manor Hospital, you will find that you're given many managerial freedoms to direct your units in a way that suits you and the service users; our organisational policies and procedures are in place to protect our residents and team, not constrain your creativity and skill. In line with this, you'll be trusted to:

Formulate standards of care-plans while evaluating and monitoring their effectiveness.
Ensure reports, statements and investigations of accidents, incidents and complains are appropriately dealt with.
Participate in formal reviews and evaluation of the services provided.

Training

During your on-boarding and induction you will undergo both e-learning and face-to-face training through our in-house programme (You will be compensated during these hours).

This introduction to Nouvita serves as a guide to both our principles and culture, as well as a chance to meet the CEO and associated managerial staff who will share knowledge that you may find integral to your role.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

As this is a senior role within the Hospital, you will be required to have:

Significant clinical, in-patient experience in a hospital setting.
Exceptional organisational skills.
Moderate level of IT knowledge (Microsoft office/Outlook/Various report systems).
Clear and effective communication.
Sound teaching/coaching skills

Benefits

While a member of our team, we will support and guide you to become a role model to all staff within the care home. We believe the key to a productive workplace is a happy environment, and that starts with you. That's why we offer a package of benefits to make your time with us just that bit better.

Welcome Bonus of GBP3,000.
Excellent salary.
Annual Leave: 33 days including bank holidays.
High street discounts via HCPA Academy.
Access to our 'Refer a Friend' scheme to earn up to GBP1000.
In-house training and development.
Access to career progression throughout the group.
Employer pension contribution.
Free off-site parking (Short walk).
Fully funded DBS.
