Our client, an established accounting practice in the South West, is seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join their thriving Exmouth team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Our client provides seamless services to an expanding client base in Devon and the South West. As a Payroll Supervisor, you'll be responsible for managing monthly and weekly client payrolls, pension administration, and all facets of payroll services. The ideal candidate should have a detail-oriented approach, excellent time management skills, and proficiency across all aspects of payroll.
- Reviewing the work of Payroll Administrators, addressing their enquiries and maintaining excellent client service standards.
- Collaborating with clients to gather necessary information for payroll processing, providing auto-enrolment services and related tasks.
- Handling payroll matters and managing bank transactions.
- Assisting the Head of Payroll Services where necessary.
- Guiding and nurturing junior team members to foster their growth into proficient payroll administrators.
- 3+ years' payroll administration experience in-house or in a bureau setting.
- Experience of training and mentoring in payroll.
- IT proficiency in Sage Payroll is necessary, with Xero Payroll knowledge as an additional desirable. Microsoft Suite including Excel knowledge is essential.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Strong end-to-end processing skills required.
- Experience in identifying and recommending process improvements.
