Position Overview:
As an Assistant Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Reporting to the Site Engineer, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and gain valuable experience in all aspects of construction management.
Responsibilities:
- Support Site Engineering Activities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
- Work closely with the Site Engineer to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and address any issues that may affect the project's quality.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, schedules, and reports.
- Prepare regular progress reports and communicate updates to the project team.
- Safety Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any concerns promptly.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Assist in resolving technical issues and providing technical support to the project team.
- Material Management:
- Assist in the procurement and management of construction materials.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to the site and maintain an organized inventory.
- Problem Solving:
- Identify and troubleshoot engineering issues that may arise during construction.
- Propose and implement effective solutions to keep the project on track.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in construction projects is desirable.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
