Position Overview:

As an Assistant Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Reporting to the Site Engineer, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and gain valuable experience in all aspects of construction management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support Site Engineering Activities:
    • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
    • Work closely with the Site Engineer to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  1. Quality Control:
    • Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
    • Identify and address any issues that may affect the project's quality.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, schedules, and reports.
    • Prepare regular progress reports and communicate updates to the project team.
  1. Safety Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any concerns promptly.
  1. Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Assist in resolving technical issues and providing technical support to the project team.
  1. Material Management:
    • Assist in the procurement and management of construction materials.
    • Ensure timely delivery of materials to the site and maintain an organized inventory.
  1. Problem Solving:
    • Identify and troubleshoot engineering issues that may arise during construction.
    • Propose and implement effective solutions to keep the project on track.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in construction projects is desirable.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
