Mechanical Fitter

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working with a manufacturing business in Telford to find 2 full-time Mechanical Fitters to join their expanding team. The role offers a starting salary of up to GBP28,000 per annum as well as a fantastic benefits package.

We are looking for someone who has experience working with vehicles, primarily with experience working on Engines.

You'll be working alongside contractors and suppliers in this Mechanical Fitter role, adhering to all health and safety regulations and stripping down and refurbishing components. Overtime is available after 40 hours Monday to Friday paid at 1/3 time, 1/2 time on Saturday, and double time on Sunday.

As a Mechanical Fitter, here are some day to day duties you will be carrying out:

• Cleaning down the parts once disassembled
• Testing the components once reassembled
• Reading and understanding engineer drawings
• Using hand and power tools including spanners and torque wrenches
• Updating machinery records and completing supporting paperwork

This Mechanical Fitter role would suit someone who is used to getting their hands dirty and has previous mechanical assembly fitting experience. You will also require:

• Experience within a busy workshop environment
• Experience working with vehicles
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
