BASIC SALARY: Circa GBP35,000 - (Pro-rata if part time)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Logistics Coordinator / Supply Chain Administrator / Freight / Domestic / Export / Purchasing Administration /
This is a reactive administration role working within the operations / logistics/ supply chain / sales order / purchasing department within our manufacturing business. You'll be hands-on in the organisation and administration of domestic and international freight / freight forwarding orders to customers - and processing purchase orders from engineering / sales departments.
We're flexible on hours - so this role could be pro-rata for shorter days / 3-4 days per week. Initial 12 month contract with potential to become permanent in another role within the department after this time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Logistics Coordinator / Supply Chain Administrator / Freight / Domestic / Export / Purchasing Administration /
Logistics - delivery of parts / orders domestically (through existing relationships with a transport company) and international (acting as primary liaison for our freight forwarding company and navigating the labyrinth of international regulations, administration and bureaucracy)
Order placing / processing - Taking internal orders from engineering / projects and ordering through existing suppliers.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Logistics Coordinator / Supply Chain Administrator / Freight / Domestic / Export / Purchasing Administration
You will be a skilled administrator with some exposure to logistics / shipping - ideally both international and domestic
You will be able to process purchase orders from a series of existing suppliers
You'll also be very organised, process driven and able to prioritise tasks and keep several plates spinning at once
Working closely with our Operations Manager, you'll be their administrative support function
Any exposure to an engineering / manufacturing company and an understanding of supply chain logistics would be of benefit.
