Group Quality Manager

Group Quality Manager - Permanent to start ASAP
Location: Sutton, B76
Salary: GBP45,000 + Car Allowance
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm

Role & Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for all aspects of Quality in the company. To maintain customer confidence that materials acquired from the company fully comply with the requirements of their purchase order. To ensure that the purchases made by the company are conforming to specification. To ensure that the quality system is maintained and complies with regulatory authorities & customer approvals. Provide a source of knowledge to other employees with regard to Quality & Technical related matters. Undertake continuous improvement activities. Act as Export Licence Manager for the company.

Candidate:

. Strong technical understanding of Aerospace metals
. Familiar with ISO9001:2015 and AS QMS standards
. Ability to drive continual improvement throughout the business
. Experience in a senior quality related position
. Experience of using quality tools such as 5 why, FMEA
. Experience of co-ordinating a worldwide quality team
. Special skills or knowledge
. Very good understanding of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel
. Excellent analytical and organizational skills
. Strong mathematical and IT skills
. Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy.
. Good understanding of business
. Strong customer relationship skills
. Ability to Produce First Article Inspections
. Experience of export licencing requirements for controlled products and how to apply for licences.
. Familiarity with customers and vendors in the supply chain and their quality requirements and capabilities

Duties:
. Ensure the branch quality supervisors maintain the QMS at their sites.
. Advise and support company position in times of dispute with customer or supplier.
. Oversee management of company KPI's with relevant managers
. Implement continuous improvement to improve production processes in conjunction with the Operations Management Team
. Ensure all licensable material shipped complies with local & corporate export licence requirements.
. Provide support to operations and sales for quality related issues.
