Salary: up to £33,526 per annum depending on experience
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Barnstaple & surrounding area

The Role

To line manage the company's Independent Living Support Officers to ensure that the Independent Living Service delivered is professional and effective and responsive to customers changing needs and expectations.   The Independent Living Services Team Leader will ensure the services remains compliant with relevant Code of Practice and accepted quality measures. The post holder will help develop the services to work in partnership with other agencies offering support to vulnerable adults.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

• To provide day-to-day management, support and guidance to Independent Living Support Officers ensuring that the service complies with company policy and also its external obligations particularly in relation to health and safety legislation.
• To ensure the service meets changing customer expectations by regularly seeking their views on the service provided.
• To participate in policy and procedural reviews to identify innovative methods of working and achieving best practice.
• To actively encourage and support customer involvement within the Independent Living service.

About You

• You will have previous experience of working directly with vulnerable people in housing management environment.
• You will be experienced in working with a range of external agencies relevant in the welfare of older persons.
• You will have experience in managing or supervising other people or teams.
