TeacherActive are looking for SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant in Leeds/Guiseley to have the opportunity to work in one of our Special schools with students with a range of SEND requirements. I take pride that I build great relationships with my schools and with the support staff I hire so we can find the best placements that suit you and your requirements.

This school offer fantastic learning opportunities for children and young people aged from 4 to 19 who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Many of our pupils are on the autistic spectrum, and a large number can struggle to engage, or can become anxious, as a result of a communication difficulty.

We are looking for SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant to long-term placements supporting SEND students with their education. This is a great chance to have flexible work that fits around you, help you gain experience to add to your portfolio and keep everyday exciting!

The ideal SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant should have the following:

• Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 month's experience in an educational establishment
• De-escalation training such as MAPA/CPI, Team- Teach or PRICE
• A calm, patient, and caring persona
• Good communication skills
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience in working with supporting SEND students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
