Control and Instrumentation Technician

Seabank Power Limited owns and operates a 1140MW power station located in Hallen, Bristol.

The following roles are now available within our Engineering Department:

Control and Instrumentation Technician  

Salary: Up to £55,193 depending upon experience, + bonus + excellent benefits + relocation if appropriate.

Based: Bristol.

The Role

Duties for the post include: 

• Work scheduling and reporting using a computerised maintenance management system.
• Routine maintenance, repair, and fault finding on industrial control systems to ensure plant availability.
• Contributing fully as a member of the engineering team when required during planned and breakdown maintenance.
• Management of contracts and supervision of contractors.
• Design, development, and implementation of plant improvement projects.

The Person

Applicants shall have: 

• Experience of PLC programming and diagnostics - preferably Siemens S5/S7.
• Experience of industrial networking, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet.
• Experience of SCADA or DCS systems.
• An understanding of process instrumentation, including pressure, temperature and flow.
• An understanding of network segregation, security and protection practices would be beneficial.
• A recognised engineering qualification.
• Demonstrable strong interpersonal skills and a sound engineering approach.
• The ability to work flexibly and on their own initiative.
• The ability to make technical decisions based on available information.
