Numerical aptitude. Ideal candidates will have an understanding of Xero, but full training and support will be given if needed to support the successful candidate
Responsibilities
Oversee a busy office, including maintaining customer communication (email and phone)
Record keeping
Execute various accounting duties including processing accounts payable, raising invoices and setting up bank payments for approval
Clerical support for the Directors, including but not limited to, drafting correspondence, drafting quotations and coordinating mailings (email and physical)
Purchase office supplies and goods required by the business
Ensure all purchase invoices are recorded correctly in the finances (Xero)
Maintain databases
Oversee the Directors appointments and support them in their daily duties
Perform other duties as designed by the Directors
Overseeing and maintaining the payroll function - full training and support will be given if needed
Preparation and submission of CIS and VAT returns - full training and support will be given if needed
Reconcile the bank on a timely basis - full training and support will be given if needed
Structure
The successful candidate will be critical to the continued success of the company as it looks to expand, as such it involves reporting directly to the Directors.
Hours
Full time (9am to 5pm) depending on the candidate and their expertise. Whilst this is envisaged to be full time, the directors want the role filled by the right person and as a family-owned business they know the importance of work-life balance and would therefore accommodate some flexibility got the right person.
Salary
Open to negotiation, depending on experience
