Mechanial Maintenance Fitter

We are working with an international engineering company in Gateshead who require a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter on a permanent contract.
Taking responsibility for routine maintenance of the plant, equipment and machinery, attending breakdowns, diagnosing faults and overseeing time-critical repairs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor the safe running of the plant and ensure that the machine uptime is high
Comply with the preventative maintenance system
Attend to breakdowns or defects, and action the repair to equipment immediately
Update and maintain company operational records and data, specific to the job function
Provide maintenance or operational reports and statistics as required by Management
REQUIRED:
Time served or NVQ qualified in an engineering discipline (mechanical or other)
D.M.S; C.M.S. or other Supervisory/ Management qualifications
Experience in a maintenance role
GBP14.80ph 37hrs per week
2 shift days/nights
Time and a third offered for nightshift
Annual salary around GBP30,000 plus overtime
