Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading national manufacturing company, is looking to recruit a self-motivated, professional, and skilled Maintenance Technician to join their growing team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager duties will include:

• Electrical and Mechanical Trouble shooting
• Electro-Mechanical repairs
• Provide Technical Support
• Preventative and Predictive maintenance routines
• Support Production team in achieving targets
• Closely monitor line and machine performance
• Intervene online as soon as any deterioration in performance occurs
• Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications
• To keep clean any areas in which you are working
• Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross skilling and other job-related competencies
• Update the maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Troubleshooting using PLC programs
• Manage contractors on site and issue and sign off work permits from the Safe Work system

As a successful candidate you will have previous experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering role with relevant trade qualifications and knowledge of FMCG/manufacturing operations would be beneficial. Be self-motivated, reliable, possess excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills together with the ability to plan and manage your own workload efficiently.
