Our client, a top 100 UK law firm, are seeking a secretary to work within their friendly Private Client team, based in Cambridge and with hybrid working available. You will provide professional, pro-active, high level support on a broad range of issues relating to estates and private property, tax planning and family matters, to the Partners and wider team. Building a working relationship with fee earners and other members of the team is critical to the success of this role.
Main Responsibilities include:
Format, paginate, number and present documents in 'house style' and proofreading all work
Preparing papers for meetings and dealing with paperwork following meetings
Processing all forms including new client form, new matter form, money laundering form etc
Preparing narratives and bills and keeping billing files up to date
Responding to internal and external telephone enquiries politely and professionally
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience of using a digital dictation tool
Excellent written and verbal communication
Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Positive and enthusiastic approach to teamwork
Adaptable and flexible
Self-motivated, ability to use initiative and provide pro-active support to fee-earners
Ability to remain calm and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
