IT Developer & Senior IT Developer

The role Information Technology provides and supports all central University IT services and is responsible for the institution's Technical Infrastructure. The IT Team build the OU's award-winning Virtual Learning Environment system, which is one of the largest VLEs in the world, relied upon by all Faculties and business units, and over 200,000 students every year. We are currently in an exciting phase of moving our technology into the Cloud and adopting DevOps. We are seeking to appoint both an excellent IT Developer as well as a Senior IT Developer to support managing the gathering of ideas and development work for this transition. The IT Developer will work with a host of innovative technologies, supporting a key, exciting project within the University. The Senior Developer will oversee this transition, providing technical leadership to teammates whilst collaborating with other teams to plan, design, develop and test the applications. If you are a highly experienced Web Developer with experience of DevOps and leading a small team, then look no further! Although this role is aligned to our Milton Keynes office, we are flexible on location across the UK, with occasional attendance onsite required.
