This role is for an assistant software developer within the IT Team, assisting with the migration of a legacy MS Access database to Salesforce CRM, and supporting the development of the front-end web applications.
The company is under-taking a digital transformation project which is fundamental to the continued success of the business and designed to consolidate the IT systems which underpin the business, increase the quality, accessibility, and use of data across the organisation.
You will work in an MS Azure hosting environment, using C# .NET Core web apps, MSSQL databases, REST webservices, and user interfaces based on React.
The IT Team are currently a team of three providing project management, system design, development, testing, and support.. The role is required for a period of three to six months, on a contractor-basis.
Offices are based in Ware Hertfordshire. Subject to negotiation, we will accept remote, hybrid, or office-based working. Occasional travel would be required to the Ware office for Team meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the development of dependable and performant web applications and components which meet the required specifications and design and integrate with existing systems
Create migration scripts and routines to accurately transfer data between systems (primarily from MSSQL to Salesforce CRM).
Create reporting functionality to enable the delivery of on-demand data to Teams and External Stakeholders.
Create and execute unit tests and system testing scripts to test new systems, functionality, and data.
Provide application support and bug fixes where necessary.
Documentation of systems and processes
Develop data management processes to ensure data is consistently kept up to date.
Develop dashboards showing overall data performance
Provide ad-hoc reports and data analysis internally and for external stakeholders.
Work closely with the current IT Team to ensure projects are running to-specification, on-budget, and on-schedule.
Essential
Previous experience working with C# .NET Core web apps in an Azure environment as a software developer
Experience of MSSQL database development and operations
